Teal Bay Lagoon

The southern end of Teal Bay has a lovely entrance to the estuary known as the lagoon by locals. Perfect for swimming and launching the dinghy at high tide and picturesque at any time of the day or tide. This pohutukawa branch is part of a tree that has fallen and continues to grow on the sandy floor...and features in quite a few paintings!
